Joyful Generosity

As STEWARDS OF FAITH, we recognize that everything comes from God, including our wealth and the ability to create wealth.  Being a good steward of the money and possessions God entrusts to our care requires that we honestly and prayerfully discern our needs from our wants. God will  always provide what we need, but not necessarily everything we want.

"Each must do as already determined, without sadness or compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. Moreover, God is able to make every grace abundant for you, so that in all things, always having all you need, you may have an abundance for every good work." 2 Corinthians 9:7

Deliberate planning to return the "first fruits" of what we receive from God back to Him is vital.  If we determine our giving only after we satisfy our needs and wants, we will have only the leftover for God. Making an annual Giving Plan is important to the charitable giving aspect of our discipleship.  God cannot be outdone in generosity and we need to share with others out of profound gratitude and love for God.  Don't "give 'til it hurts," give until it feels good!

Sunday Offertory

We offer our "first fruits" to God each week through our Sunday offetory gift.  Please check out the new MY CATHOLIC GIVING GUIDE worksheet to plan your annual offetory gifts.  This new worksheet is the crockpot for your giving with ALL of the different ways to support the Parish and the Archdiocese as well as many community opportunities listed.  Twice a year (Advent and Easter?) sit down and review this sheet.  Determine your "first fruits" gift, divide it up as you wish between the myriad of opportunities, and now you have your giving layed out for the next six months to a year.  Set it, and forget it - just like your crockpot!

Online Giving

You can sign up to have your Sunday Offetory gift automatically deducted from your bank account or a credit card.  When you create your account with our Online Giving, you choose how, when and what you want to give.  Online Giving also allows anyone to offer a one time gift without setting up an account.

Other Ways to Support the Parish

Planned Giving

How will your treasure be divided when you travel home to meet Our Father?  Have you ever considered returning a portion of your estate to the one from whom it all came.  If you are considering adding The Church or Parish into your Will or Trust, please vist http://archstl.org/stewardship/page/planned-giving-2 for information.

SCRIP

Scrip is an opportunity to give back to the Church without any additional out of pocket expense by you.  By purchasing gift certificates for the businesses you would normally patronize, you create an opportunity for the Parish to receive a percentage of what you spend from that business.  Just think, you can give and grocery shop or fill up the tank all at once! More information about our scrip program.
